WTT Champions Montpellier: Everything you need to know

Hugo’s next event will be the WTT Champions Montpellier, from October 28 to November 2. The competition is part of the second most important series on the international table tennis tour, only behind the Grand Smashes.
After winning the ITTF Pan American Championships, Hugo will be the top seed in the WTT Champions Montpellier – check out here the full list of players.
BRAZILIANS IN MONTPELLIER
In addition to Hugo, the WTT Champions Montpellier will also feature another player from Brazil: Bruna Takahashi, ranked #18 in the world.
COMPETITION SYSTEM
The WTT Champions Montpellier will feature men’s and women’s singles events in a single-elimination system, with 32 players in each bracket.
Matches will be played in best of 5 games until the round of 16. From the quarterfinals onwards, the matches will be best of 7 games.

- Runner-up: 700 points / US$ 20,000
- Semifinals: 350 points / US$ 11,750
