Hugo’s next competition will be the Pan American Table Tennis Championships, to be held in El Salvador from October 13 to 20. Once again, he will be the #1 seed in the men’s singles tournament. He will also take part in the mixed doubles tournament alongside Bruna Takahashi.

ABOUT THE TOURNAMENTS

The Pan American Championships will feature 7 tournaments:

  • Men’s singles
  • Women’s singles
  • Men’s doubles
  • Women’s doubles
  • Mixed doubles
  • Men’s teams
  • Women’s teams

Hugo will take part in the men’s singles and mixed doubles, alongside Bruna Takahashi.

Both Hugo and Bruna won’t be able to play in the Team events, as the tournaments will end just two days before the WTT Champions Montpellier, in which their participation is mandatory.

COMPETITION SYSTEM

All the matches at the Pan American Championships will be played in a single-elimination system.

The matches in the singles tournaments will be played in best of 7 games. In the doubles and team competitions, it will be best of 5 games.
